what’s app: HappyCow

What’s up!

Whats app!

This is just me sharing the apps that I use on my nifty little iPhone :)

As a vegetarian who travels a lot, we think its important to have a guide to help you along the way. As part of travel preps, we make it a point to research about the place, look for decent place to stay and a place to EAT, of course!  Before we find it so hard to look and to ask restaurants to cook for us  or if they can adjust their meal for vegs like us. Now, with the help of this app, we can easily find restos near our place. This app needs internet connection or gprs for it to work. You can use wi-fi or connect through your phone but fees may apply.

This is the welcome page. Look at that cute cow  :)

welcome page

iPhone detects your current location (look at that purple arrow) and it will point you to the nearest resto or you can put the address. Remember, fees will apply so if there’s wi-fi, better use it :p

This is the app in the App Store, you can buy it a very reasonable price of $2.99 (i think, i can’t remember) It’s a good app and whats cool about it is that if you noticed something wrong or you want to request for an update about the store you visit, you can easily click a button and it will send to the HappyCow admins for them to update. How cool is that :)

Do you have this app on your phone? What do you think?

LakbayGulay

…that’s what my hubby said during our travel. He thought of the name and i find it interesting and right for our lifestyle.

From now on,  we will name our travel adventures “LakbayGulay”.  Lakbay is travel in Filipino and Gulay is of course veggies. What do you think?

“The highs and lows of being vegetarians on the road, sight-seeing, being on a budget, enjoying the wonders of nature, meeting people and learning. We are here to document and  share it. ” This is what drives us to travel. Hope you will join us  again in our future travels.

As a kick-off for our first adventure, let me share some of the photos we took. We saw so many trees, walked the beach, swam in the beach, falls, climbed stairs, talked to strangers and a lot more. It opened our eyes and thanked God for such marvels.  We are so blessed that we have this.

“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.” – Jawaharial Nehru

Do you recognize some of the places? Will tell you more about it in a few days!  :)

on the road

I have to apologize for not updating my blog. I’ve been very busy with work and we are now on the road somewhere north of our homeland.

I got too excited when my vegetarian boss came to visit last month which is a bit unplanned and I’m supposed to share it but I am still speechless about our experience and until now, my article is not done yet. I promise to share this don’t worry.

I will also share with you the places that we will visit during this trip. Also, I have many things to write about that I just learned from my veggie lovin blog friends. Thank you so much!

Ciao for now!!!

Vacation up north

Just got back from a quick vacation up north where the Pine Trees are growing. I want to stay there longer and will post my vegetarian adventures here. Was able to eat at the vegetarian two restaurants a few blocks from where I stay. Got some awesome pics as well. :)
